- 3/4 cup cream soda (chilled)
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 2 tablespoons dark brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons white granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon corn syrup
- 1 teaspoon molasses
- 1 (13.5 oz) can evaporated milk
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon white wine vinegar
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar (icing sugar)

- In a heavy saucepan, melt the butter and sugars together over gentle heat until dissolved.
- Add the remaining ingredients (except evaporated milk) and continue heating, stirring frequently.
- Once mixed, add the evaporated milk and simmer for two minutes without boiling.
