Ingredients
- 1 tbsp (0.5 oz) butter
- 1 tbsp soft brown sugar
- 1 star anise whole
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 3 whole cloves
- 2 cardamom pods
- 3 Organic Black Peppercorns
- 1.50 fl oz rum
- boiling water
- Ground Cinnamon for garnish
Instructions
- Coarsely crush the spices and put them with the butter and brown sugar in a small saucepan.
- Melt over low heat, mixing well until the sugar has dissolved.
- Leave to infuse for 2 minutes, and then filter through a sieve into a clean container.
- Once the mixture is cool, store it in the fridge.
- In a mug, place 1 teaspoon of cold spiced butter, 1.5 fl oz of rum, and then top with boiling water.
- Serve topped with a sprinkle of Ground Cinnamon.
