Ingredients

  • 8 oz dry cider ((hard cider))
  • 1/4 orange, cut into quarters
  • 2 tbsp white sugar
  • 2 allspice berries
  • 1/2 cinnamon stick
  • 1/2 star anise pod
  • 1 oz brandy
  • Orange and apple slices, cinammon stick for garnish

Instructions

  1. Combine the dry cider, oranges, white sugar, allspice berries, cinnamon stick, and star anise pod in a pan.
  2. Cover with a lid and heat gently, bringing the cider to a simmer.
  3. Allow the mixture to simmer for 15 minutes.
  4. Stir in the brandy.
  5. Serve in heat-proof glasses and garnish with slices of orange, apple, and a piece of cinnamon stick.
