A rich and invigorating cocktail that pays homage to Winston Churchill's legacy, featuring Scotch whisky, cold brew coffee, and a cinnamon stick for added flair.

Ingredients

  • 1 small cinnamon stick
  • 2 oz blended Scotch whisky
  • 0.85 oz cold brew coffee or cooled espresso
  • 1 tbsp. maple syrup
  • Dash of angostura bitters
  • Few ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Place a martini glass in the freezer for 10 minutes.
  2. Light one end of the cinnamon stick with a gas flame and let it burn for a few seconds. Once the flame goes out, or blow it out if it remains alight, set the stick aside to cool.
  3. Remove the chilled glass from the freezer.
  4. In a sealed cocktail shaker or a jam jar with a lid, shake the whisky, cold brew coffee, maple syrup, and angostura bitters with a few ice cubes.
  5. Strain the mixture into the glass.
  6. Finely grate over some of the unburnt end of the cinnamon stick, then float the stick in the glass.
  7. Serve and enjoy.
