Ingredients

  • 2 cups diced watermelon
  • 1/4 cup lime juice
  • 1/4 cup triple sec
  • 3/4 cup white tequila
  • 3 slices jalapenos (divided) (optional)
  • 2 1/2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 2 1/2 tbsp water
  • Salt and sugar for rim
  • Mint, lime, and jalapeno for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a blender, combine the watermelon, lime juice, triple sec, and tequila. Blend for about two minutes until smooth.
  2. Strain the mixture twice through a fine mesh strainer and place in a large pitcher. Add half of the sliced jalapenos, if using, and refrigerate.
  3. In a saucepan, heat the sugar, water, and remaining jalapeno slices for 2-3 minutes. Allow the simple syrup to cool, then strain out the jalapenos.
  4. Add the simple syrup to the watermelon mixture, then chill.
  5. After 1-2 hours, remove the jalapenos if the desired heat level is reached. Otherwise, leave them in if serving later.
  6. Wet the rims of glasses, then dip in salt and sugar.
  7. Add ice to the glasses, pour in the watermelon margarita, and garnish with lime, mint, and sliced jalapeno.
