Ingredients
- 1 extra-large Egg Yolk
- 2 tbsp Condensed Milk
- 1 cup Whole Milk
- 1/4 tsp Lemon Zest
- 1/2 Cinnamon Stick
- A Pinch of Nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1/4 cup Aged Rum
Instructions
- Simmer the milk with the cinnamon stick, pinch of nutmeg, and lemon zest in a saucepan over medium heat for 10 minutes.
- Beat the egg yolk until fluffy in a medium bowl using an electric mixer.
- Gradually add the hot milk to the egg yolk, whisking continuously to prevent coagulation.
- Return the mixture to the saucepan and cook over low heat, whisking constantly until it thickens.
- Let the mixture cool, then remove the cinnamon stick and lemon zest.
- Blend the cooled custard, vanilla, condensed milk, and rum in a blender until smooth.
- Transfer to a sterilized bottle, let it cool at room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 2-3 hours before serving.
