Velvet Bourbon Citrus Dream
A rich and velvety bourbon cocktail with a unique milk infusion and citrus twist.
Ingredients
- 1 oz Bourbon
- 2/3 oz Freshly Squeezed Lemon Juice
- 1/3 oz Orgeat Syrup
- 5 dashes Angostura Bitters
- 2/3 oz Taylor Tawny 10 yr Port
- 1 oz Cold 2% Milk
- 1 oz Cold 35% Cream
Instructions
- In a mixing jar, combine bourbon, freshly squeezed lemon juice, orgeat syrup, and Angostura bitters. Stir with 1 ice cube.
- In a separate container, mix cold 2% milk and cold 35% cream, then pour the cocktail into the milk mixture. Give it a quick stir before covering and placing it in the fridge (wrap with cling wrap to prevent flavor absorption). Leave it in the fridge for at least 1 hour.
- Pour the mixture through a coffee filter and let it strain for 30 minutes. Strain once more for a refined cocktail.
- Pour the clarified cocktail over 1 large ice cube and garnish with a dehydrated lemon wheel.
