Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup halved fresh strawberries
  • 1/2 tbsp Regans' Orange Bitters
  • 1/2 cup drained canned crushed pineapple
  • 1/4 cup well-shaken and stirred cream of coconut
  • 1/2 oz Don Q Piña rum
  • 1 dash Angostura bitters
  • 1/2 oz Don Q Añejo rum
  • 1.50 tbsp turbinado sugar
  • 1 fresh strawberry, hulled
  • 1 pineapple leaf

Instructions

  1. Mix strawberries and bitters in a bowl and let stand until strawberries absorb the bitters flavor.
  2. Drain the soaked strawberries and freeze them in a plastic bag for at least 4 hours.
  3. Freeze the crushed pineapple in a separate bag for at least 4 hours.
  4. Break the frozen pineapple into small pieces and blend it with the cream of coconut, rum, and bitters until smooth. Freeze the piña colada mixture.
  5. Blend the rum, sugar, and frozen strawberries until smooth to make the strawberry daiquiri.
  6. Pour the piña colada into a glass, top it with the strawberry daiquiri, and stir to create a swirl effect.
  7. Garnish the cocktail with a hulled strawberry speared with a pineapple leaf.
