Ingredients
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons water
- 1 teaspoon pure almond extract
- 1/8 teaspoon orange blossom water
- 3 oz blanco tequila
- 1 1/2 oz Aperol
- 1 oz fresh lime juice
- 1 oz almond simple syrup
- Crushed ice
- Tajin, for garnish
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, simmer sugar and water until the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and stir in almond extract and orange water. Let the syrup cool.
- Fill two rocks or stemless tulip glasses with crushed ice.
- In a cocktail shaker, combine tequila, Aperol, lime juice, and almond syrup. Fill with ice, secure the lid, and shake vigorously until thoroughly chilled.
- Strain the margaritas into the prepared glasses.
