Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 teaspoon pure almond extract
  • 1/8 teaspoon orange blossom water
  • 3 oz blanco tequila
  • 1 1/2 oz Aperol
  • 1 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1 oz almond simple syrup
  • Crushed ice
  • Tajin, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, simmer sugar and water until the sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and stir in almond extract and orange water. Let the syrup cool.
  2. Fill two rocks or stemless tulip glasses with crushed ice.
  3. In a cocktail shaker, combine tequila, Aperol, lime juice, and almond syrup. Fill with ice, secure the lid, and shake vigorously until thoroughly chilled.
  4. Strain the margaritas into the prepared glasses.
  5. Finish by lightly sprinkling Tajin over the drinks. Enjoy!
