Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 teaspoon pure almond extract
  • 1/8 teaspoon orange blossom water
  • 3 ounces blanco tequila
  • 1 1/2 ounces Aperol
  • 1 ounce fresh lime juice
  • 1 ounce almond simple syrup
  • Crushed ice
  • Tajin, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, simmer sugar and water until the sugar dissolves to make the almond simple syrup. Stir in almond extract and orange blossom water, then let it cool.
  2. Fill two rocks glasses or stemless tulip glasses with crushed ice.
  3. In a cocktail shaker, combine tequila, Aperol, lime juice, and almond syrup. Fill the shaker with ice, secure the lid, and shake vigorously until thoroughly chilled.
  4. Strain the margarita mixture into the prepared glasses.
  5. Finish by lightly sprinkling Tajin over the drink and enjoy!
