Ingredients

  • 2 medium tangerines or oranges, cold
  • 2 1/2 ounces chilled sparkling wine, such as Laurent-Perrier Champagne or Freixenet Cava
  • Garnish options: pomegranate seeds, blackberries, or raspberries

Instructions

  1. Juice and chill the tangerines or oranges.
  2. If desired, strain the juice through a fine-mesh strainer to remove pulp.
  3. Place the juice and a 6-ounce champagne flute in the refrigerator to chill.
  4. Open the sparkling wine by carefully untwisting the cage and slowly releasing the cork at a 45-degree angle.
  5. Pour 2 1/2 ounces of the chilled juice into the champagne glass.
  6. Fill the rest of the glass with the chilled sparkling wine.
  7. Garnish the mimosa with pomegranate seeds, raspberries, or blackberries, if desired.
