Ingredients

  • 2 oz. White Tequila
  • 1 1/2 oz. Cointreau or Triple Sec
  • 1 oz. Freshly squeezed lime juice (about 1 lime)
  • 1/2 oz. Agave syrup (Optional)
  • 1/4 tsp Activated Charcoal Powder
  • Honey and black lava salt for the rim

Instructions

  1. Rim the glass by dipping it into honey and then into margarita salt or black lava salt. Place in the freezer until ready to serve.
  2. In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine lime juice, Cointreau, agave, tequila, and activated charcoal. Shake vigorously for 20-30 seconds.
  3. Pour the margarita into a 4-6 oz. margarita glass filled with ice (preferably crushed).
  4. Garnish with a lime or orange wedge and serve.
