Ingredients

  • 6 small tea bags
  • 1 quart water
  • 2 cups peach nectar
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • Your favorite whiskey
  • Optional: fresh sliced peaches and mint sprigs for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, bring 1 cup of water to a boil and add the tea bags.
  2. Remove the saucepan from heat just as the water starts to boil, cover, and allow the tea to steep for 5 minutes.
  3. Pour the tea into a pitcher with sugar, add the remaining water, and stir well to combine and dissolve the sugar. Chill the tea in the refrigerator for 1 hour, covered.
  4. Stir in the peach nectar and mix thoroughly.
  5. Pour the peach tea over ice, leaving space for 1 shot of whiskey, and stir to combine.
  6. Optionally, add fresh sliced peaches to the tea and garnish with a mint sprig.
