Ingredients
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp soft brown sugar
- 1 whole star anise
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 3 whole cloves
- 2 cardamom pods
- 6 organic black peppercorns
- 2 oz rum
- boiling water
- ground cinnamon for garnish
Instructions
- Coarsely crush the spices and combine them with the butter and brown sugar in a small saucepan.
- Melt the mixture over low heat, stirring well until the sugar has dissolved.
- Let the mixture infuse for 2 minutes, then strain it through a sieve into a clean container.
- Once cooled, store the spiced butter in the fridge.
- In a mug, place 1 teaspoon of the cold spiced butter, 2 oz of rum, and top with boiling water.
- Add a sprinkle of ground cinnamon for an extra touch of indulgence.
