Ingredients

  • 1 sprig fresh rosemary
  • 2 ounces gin
  • 1/2 ounce rosemary syrup (store bought or homemade)
  • 3-4 ounces tonic water
  • Lime wedge and/or additional rosemary for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Light the end of a rosemary sprig until smoking and place it on a plate. Cover the smoking rosemary with a cocktail glass to capture the rosemary smoke.
  2. In a mixing glass with ice, stir together the gin and rosemary syrup.
  3. Flip the cocktail glass over and add ice, then strain the gin rosemary mixture into the glass.
  4. Top off with tonic water and garnish with lime wedge and/or additional rosemary, if desired.
  5. Optionally, singe the end of the rosemary garnish for a dramatic effect.
