Ingredients
- 3 oz Mezcal tequila
- Juice of 1 lime
- Juice of half a lemon
- 4 tbsp Pomegranate simple syrup
- 1/4 cup sugar for rimming glass
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 3 tbsp pomegranate seeds
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup sugar, 1 cup water, and 3 tbsp pomegranate seeds. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 30 minutes until slightly thickened. Allow to cool, then strain the syrup into an airtight container.
- In a shaker, combine 3 oz mezcal tequila, the juice of 1 lime, the juice of half a lemon, and 4 tbsp of the pomegranate simple syrup. Shake well.
- Pour about 1/4 cup sugar onto a plate. Wet the rim of a glass and dip it into the sugar to coat the rim.
- Fill the glass with ice and pour the margarita mixture over the ice.
- Garnish with sliced lime and pomegranate seeds, and enjoy!
