Ingredients
- 1.50 ounces Pistachio Cream Liqueur
- 1 ounce vanilla vodka
- 1/4 ounce Benedictine
- 4 drops hazelnut bitters
- Absinthe, for rinse or spray
Instructions
- Prepare the garnish by crushing 10-20 pistachios into small bits and using chocolate sauce or honey to stick the pistachio dust to the rim of the coupe glass.
- Chill the prepared glass in the freezer or by filling it with ice while preparing the cocktail.
- In a cocktail shaker with ice, combine the pistachio liqueur, vanilla vodka, Benedictine, and hazelnut bitters. Shake vigorously for at least 30 seconds.
- Remove the chilled glass from the freezer or discard the ice, then spray a mist of absinthe into the glass or pour in a small amount and swirl to coat the interior. Pour out any excess absinthe.
- Strain the cocktail from the shaker into the prepared coupe glass using a Hawthorne strainer. Garnish as desired.
