Pearadise Delight
A delightful cocktail featuring the smooth and sweet flavors of pear, mint, and cardamom with a hint of spice and a velvety smooth texture.
Ingredients
- 1 ripe USA Pear, divided
- 8 medium-sized mint leaves
- 1 tsp huckleberry liqueur
- 1 tsp pear liqueur (Clear Creek Pear Brandy or Aqua Perfecta Pear Eau de Vie)
- 2 dashes orange bitters
- 3/4 oz pear-cardamom syrup
- 1 1/2 oz light rum
- 3/4 oz fresh squeezed lemon juice
- 1/4 oz fresh ginger juice
- 1 large egg white
- Ice
- For the Pear-Cardamom Syrup:
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 USA Pear, shaved
- 1 tsp ground cardamom
Instructions
- Make the Pear-Cardamom Syrup: Boil sugar and water, then add shaved pear and ground cardamom. Let it sit for 20 minutes, then strain and chill.
- In a rocks glass, combine 1/4 diced pear, huckleberry liqueur, mint, and pear liqueur.
- In a shaker, muddle 1/4 pear with bitters and pear-cardamom syrup, then add rum, lemon juice, ginger juice, and egg white. Shake with ice for 30 seconds.
- Add ice cubes to the rocks glass with the pear cubes, then strain the cocktail into the glass.
- Garnish by adding a paper-thin slice of pear on top.
