Pandan Bourbon Bliss
A delightful and unique bourbon cocktail with the nutty essence of pandan, balanced by the sweetness of pandan simple syrup.
Ingredients
- For the Pandan Simple Syrup:
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 cups water
- 2 whole pandan leaves
- For the Cocktail:
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
- 2 teaspoons Pandan simple syrup
- 2 ounces bourbon
- Garnish:
- 2-inch long strip of pandan leaf, tied into a knot
Instructions
- To prepare the pandan simple syrup, boil sugar and water in a small saucepan, then let it cool before transferring it to a glass bottle. Add the pandan leaves and let it infuse for 24 hours. Strain before using.
- In a mixing glass, combine Angostura bitters and pandan simple syrup.
- Fill the glass with ice and add bourbon.
- Stir the mixture for 15 seconds, then strain it into an ice-filled old fashioned glass.
