Minty Pomegranate Julep Spritz
A festive spin on the classic mint julep cocktail with the addition of pomegranate juice and a rosemary garnish.
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 4 sprigs mint leaves
- 3 oz bourbon
- 4 oz pomegranate juice
- 2 oz seltzer water
- 2 sprigs rosemary (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, create mint-infused simple syrup by combining sugar, water, and 4 mint sprigs. Heat until the sugar dissolves, about 2-3 minutes. Let it cool.
- In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine the mint simple syrup, bourbon, and pomegranate juice. Shake for 20-30 seconds.
- Pour the mixture over 2 rocks glasses filled with crushed ice.
- Top each glass off with a splash of seltzer water and garnish with a sprig of mint and rosemary.
