Ingredients

  • 1 cup cubed refrigerated watermelon
  • 2-3 sprigs of mint leaves
  • Juice from 1/2 medium lime
  • A pinch of sea salt
  • 1/2 tsp chaat masala
  • 2 oz white rum, coconut water, or club soda (optional)
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. In a blender, blend the watermelon until it turns into a juice consistency.
  2. Add the mint leaves, lime juice, sea salt, and chaat masala to the blender and blend again until well combined.
  3. Strain the mixture into a bowl, discard the pulp, and refrigerate the juice until ready to use.
  4. To prepare the glass rim, dampen the rim with a lime wedge and dip it into sea salt, then add a piece of watermelon and mint to the rim.
  5. Fill a glass with ice cubes.
  6. Pour 4 oz of the watermelon juice into the glass, followed by 1.5 oz of white rum, if using. Add an additional 2 oz of watermelon juice to fill the glass.
