Ingredients

  • 2 ounces vodka
  • 1 ounce simple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice (strained)
  • lemon for garnish and rimming the glass
  • sugar (for the rim)

Instructions

  1. Rim the martini glass with sugar by wiping the rim with a lemon and dipping it in sugar.
  2. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice, then add vodka, simple syrup, and fresh lemon juice.
  3. Cover and vigorously shake the cocktail shaker.
  4. Strain the drink into the prepared glass.
