Ingredients

  • 2 oz tequila (Reposado recommended, such as Espolon or Milagro)
  • Juice of 1/2 lime (about 1 tbsp)
  • Ice
  • 3 oz lime-flavored seltzer or mineral water
  • 1/4 tsp liquid stevia (optional)
  • Splash of fresh 100% pure orange juice (optional)
  • Lime wedge for garnish (optional)
  • Sea salt for rim (optional)

Instructions

  1. Fill a shaker with ice.
  2. Add tequila, lime juice, and stevia to the shaker. If using, add a splash of orange juice.
  3. Shake the ingredients vigorously.
  4. Run a lime wedge around the rim of a glass, then roll the rim in sea salt if desired.
  5. Pour the margarita and ice into the prepared glass.
  6. Top with lime-flavored seltzer.
