Ingredients

  • 35 g organic lemon peels (about 4 lemons)
  • 3.40 fl. oz alcohol 95%
  • 4 fl. oz water
  • 6 tbsp sugar

Instructions

  1. Use organic lemons and peel only the yellow part of the skin, removing any white pith.
  2. Place the lemon peels in a jar and pour in the alcohol. Close the jar and store it in a dark place for 3 days, stirring the peels once a day.
  3. On the third day, heat the water in a pot and add the sugar, stirring until the sugar completely dissolves without caramelizing. Do not let the solution exceed a low temperature.
  4. Strain the lemon-infused alcohol and combine it with the sugar solution at room temperature. The Limoncello should become bright yellow, not transparent.
  5. Serve the Limoncello neat, cold or at room temperature, and enjoy responsibly.
