Ingredients
- 1 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 1/4 cups water
- 1 tbsp strawberry gelatin powder
- 6 oz. pineapple juice
- 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice (about 1/4 large lemon)
- 1 cup pulp-free orange juice
- 1/2 cup lemon-lime soda, chilled
- ice cubes
Instructions
- In a large stainless steel pot, bring the sugar, water, and strawberry gelatin powder to a boil and let it simmer for 3 minutes.
- Remove the pot from heat and stir in the pineapple juice, lemon juice, and orange juice.
- Pour the mixture into a large freezer bag, seal it, and lay it flat in the freezer overnight.
- 2 to 5 hours before serving, transfer the frozen juice to the refrigerator.
- When ready to serve, combine half of the frozen juice with the chilled lemon-lime soda in a large punch bowl.
- Use a fork to flake the ice to a slushy consistency, if necessary.
- Repeat the process with the remaining juice and soda as needed.
