Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 1/4 cups water
  • 1 tbsp strawberry gelatin powder
  • 6 oz. pineapple juice
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice (about 1/4 large lemon)
  • 1 cup pulp-free orange juice
  • 1/2 cup lemon-lime soda, chilled
  • ice cubes

Instructions

  1. In a large stainless steel pot, bring the sugar, water, and strawberry gelatin powder to a boil and let it simmer for 3 minutes.
  2. Remove the pot from heat and stir in the pineapple juice, lemon juice, and orange juice.
  3. Pour the mixture into a large freezer bag, seal it, and lay it flat in the freezer overnight.
  4. 2 to 5 hours before serving, transfer the frozen juice to the refrigerator.
  5. When ready to serve, combine half of the frozen juice with the chilled lemon-lime soda in a large punch bowl.
  6. Use a fork to flake the ice to a slushy consistency, if necessary.
  7. Repeat the process with the remaining juice and soda as needed.
