Holiday Whipped Eggnog Delight

Ingredients

  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2/3 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 oz bourbon, optional
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/8 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup Reddi-wip Original Dairy Whipped Topping
  • Additional Reddi-wip for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large saucepan, whisk together the egg yolk, sugar, and salt.
  2. Slowly whisk in the milk and cook over medium-low heat, stirring constantly until the eggnog thickens and coats the back of a spoon (about 160°F), approximately 30 minutes.
  3. Strain the mixture into a large bowl and stir in the bourbon (if using), vanilla, and nutmeg. Cover and refrigerate until chilled, about 3 hours.
  4. Just before serving, whisk the Reddi-wip into the homemade eggnog and top the holiday drink with additional Reddi-wip.
