Ingredients

  • 3 medium tomatillos
  • 3 medium green tomatoes
  • 1 1/2 cups cold filtered water
  • 1 stalk celery
  • 1/4 cup cilantro leaves
  • 2 tbsp Don Victor(r) Green Piquin Hot Sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 tsp ground cumin
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 1 lime wedge
  • 1/8 cup Kosher salt
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 1/2 oz vodka
  • Ice

Instructions

  1. Quarter the tomatillos and tomatoes, then place them in a blender.
  2. Add water, celery, cilantro, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, cumin, salt, and pepper to the blender.
  3. Blend until well pureed, adjusting water as needed for desired consistency.
  4. Chill the mix until ready to serve or prepare immediately.
  5. Combine kosher salt and chili powder in a small rimmed dish.
  6. Rub the lime wedge around the edge of a serving glass and dip it into the salt mixture.
  7. Pour the virgin homemade green Bloody Mary mix into the prepared glass, or add vodka and ice to make a cocktail.
  8. Optional: garnish with celery, olives, lime, or other veggies.
