Ingredients
- 3 cups vodka
- Zest of 1 orange
- 1 whole clove
- 2 whole allspice
- 3-4 tablespoons brown sugar
- 3-4 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/8 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/4 - 1/2 cup water
Instructions
- Combine the vodka, orange zest, spices, sugars, and water in a large jar.
- Seal the jar and store it in a cool, dark place for at least a couple of weeks, shaking or swirling occasionally to dissolve the sugar.
- After the infusion period, strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth.
- Filter the strained liquid through a coffee filter to remove any remaining sediment.
- Once filtered, transfer the infusion to a clean bottle and store it in the refrigerator.
- Serve the Golden Spice Infusion chilled.
