Ginger Moscato Fizz

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 inch thinly sliced fresh ginger
- 10 oz fresh brewed tea
- 1/3 cup moscato
- 1 slice candied ginger
- ice cubes
Instructions
- In a small pot, bring sugar and 1/2 cup of water to a boil.
- Remove from heat and add fresh ginger; let it steep for about 7 minutes.
- Strain the syrup and discard the ginger. Allow the syrup to cool completely for about 10 minutes.
- In a pitcher, combine the ginger syrup and tea.
- Cover the pitcher with plastic wrap and refrigerate until chilled, at least 2 hours or up to 2 days.
- Fill a tall glass with ice cubes.
- Add the ginger tea to the glass, leaving some space at the top.
- Top it off with moscato, adding about 1/3 cup.
- Serve with a slice of candied ginger on the rim, if desired.
