Ingredients
- 3 oz vine-ripe tomatoes, cut into wedges
- 0.75 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 0.25 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 0.50 teaspoon prepared horseradish
- 0.25 to 0.50 teaspoon hot sauce (or to taste), such as Tabasco
- 0.25 teaspoon celery seeds
- Coarse salt and freshly ground pepper
- 0.38 cup canned tomato juice
- 0.25 cup chilled vodka
- Garnish: pickled okra and lemon wedge
Instructions
- Freeze tomato wedges for at least 4 hours.
- In a blender, combine the frozen tomatoes, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, horseradish, hot sauce, celery seeds, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 teaspoon pepper. Blend until smooth.
- Stir in the tomato juice and vodka.
- Divide the mixture into a chilled glass.
- Garnish with pickled okra and a lemon wedge.
