Ingredients
- 1 egg yolk (about 0.6 oz)
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
- 0.40 oz rum
- 1/8 tsp fresh grated nutmeg
- 1 egg white (about 0.6 oz)
- 1 tsp sugar
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, whisk the egg yolk until it becomes light in color and starts to thicken. Gradually add 2 tbsp sugar and continue beating until the sugar dissolves.
- Add milk, cream, rum, and nutmeg to the yolk mixture and stir to combine.
- In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites to soft peaks. Gradually add 1 tsp sugar and continue beating until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold the egg whites into the yolk mixture.
