Ingredients

  • 4-6 limes, juiced (1/2 cup)
  • 1/3 cup fresh orange juice
  • 2 1/2 oz tequila (100% agave silver tequila)
  • 1 oz Cointreau or other quality orange liqueur
  • 1 1/2 tbsp light agave nectar, or to taste
  • Kosher salt (optional)
  • Ice

Instructions

  1. Squeeze the juice of 4-6 limes to get about 1/2 cup of fresh lime juice.
  2. Add fresh orange juice to the lime juice in a glass measuring cup.
  3. Pour in the tequila, Cointreau, and agave nectar. Stir the mixture thoroughly.
  4. Taste the mixture and adjust the sweetness by adding more agave nectar if desired.
  5. If desired, salt the rim of the glass by running a cut lime around the edge and dipping it in kosher salt.
