Ingredients

  • 1 large tomato
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil
  • 1/2 Tablespoon sea salt
  • 3/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon chipotle powder
  • 3 Tablespoons horseradish
  • 1 Tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 oz vodka
  • Ice

Instructions

  1. Quarter the large tomato.
  2. Run the tomatoes through a juicer.
  3. In a food processor or blender, mix the tomato juice, basil, sea salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and chipotle powder until well-combined.
  4. Pour the mixture into a pitcher and stir in the lemon juice and horseradish.
  5. Grind fresh black pepper in a dish and rim the glass.
  6. Wet the glass rim with a discarded lemon half and rim the glass in the dish of pepper.
  7. Fill a low ball glass with ice and add 1 oz. of vodka.
  8. Top off with the Bloody Mary mix and garnish with fresh basil.
