Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup frozen strawberries
  • 2 tbsp tequila
  • 1 tbsp fresh lime juice
  • 1 tbsp agave nectar (or honey)
  • Extra ice, if needed
  • 1/3 cup frozen blueberries
  • 2 tbsp tequila
  • 1 tbsp fresh lime juice
  • 1 tbsp agave nectar (or honey)
  • Extra ice, if needed
  • 1/4 cup coconut milk (I recommend full-fat)
  • 2 tbsp silver tequila
  • 1 tbsp fresh lime juice
  • 1 tbsp agave nectar (or honey)
  • Extra ice, if needed
  • Optional: a fresh lime wedge and margarita salt or sugar, to rim the glass

Instructions

  1. In a blender, combine frozen strawberries, tequila, lime juice, and agave nectar. Blend until smooth, adding extra ice if needed for a thick slushy consistency.
  2. Pour the strawberry mixture into a container and store in the freezer.
  3. Rinse the blender and repeat the blending process for the frozen blueberries and coconut milk, each with tequila, lime juice, and agave nectar. Store each mixture in the freezer.
  4. If desired, rim the serving glass with salt or sugar using a lime wedge.
  5. Scoop the strawberry margarita into the bottom of the glass, filling it one-third full.
  6. Carefully layer the blueberry margarita on top of the strawberry layer.
  7. Finish by adding the coconut margarita to the glass.
  8. Serve immediately and enjoy the layered red, white, and blue margarita!
