Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 orange, sliced
  • 6 oz dry red wine
  • 1 oz brandy
  • 1 oz Triple Sec
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1/2 apple, cored and diced
  • Ice, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a small pot, combine the sugar and 1/4 cup water. Heat until the sugar dissolves, then cool completely.
  2. Add the cooled sugar mixture to a large pitcher.
  3. Slice 1 orange and add it to the pitcher, and squeeze the juice from the other orange into the pitcher.
  4. Add the red wine, brandy, Triple Sec, cinnamon sticks, and diced apple to the pitcher.
  5. Chill the sangria until cold or serve it over ice.
