Ingredients
- 1 large egg
- 3 tablespoons caster sugar
- 1 1/2 cups whole milk
- 1/4 oz dark rum
- 1/4 oz brandy
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- Ground nutmeg, for garnish
Instructions
- In a saucepan over medium-low heat, combine the egg, sugar, and milk. Whisk constantly until the mixture thickens and coats the back of a spoon (approximately 6-8 minutes).
- Remove from heat and stir in the rum, brandy, and half of the cream.
- In a separate bowl, use an electric mixer to beat the remaining cream until soft peaks form.
- Pour the egg mixture into a heatproof glass.
- Top with the whipped cream.
- Sprinkle with ground nutmeg before serving.
