Ingredients
- 1/2 Honeycrisp apple, sliced
- 1 whole clove
- 1/2 inch cinnamon stick
- 6 oz red wine (e.g., Pinot Noir, Zinfandel, or Malbec)
- 1 oz brandy (or rum for a gluten-free option)
- 1 oz 7Up or Sprite (or soda water for a less sweet option)
- 1 oz soda water
Instructions
- Slice the apple and add it to a glass with the cinnamon stick.
- If using cloves, place them in a tea infuser or tie them in a piece of cheesecloth.
- Pour the brandy and red wine into the glass with the apples and cinnamon.
- Stir gently and cover the glass. Refrigerate overnight.
- Before serving, add the 7Up and soda water to the glass and give it a gentle stir.
