Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 oz Irish Whiskey
  • 4 oz hot black coffee
  • 2 tsp light brown sugar
  • 1 oz heavy cream
  • Optional: nutmeg, chocolate shavings, or 2-3 coffee beans for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat a heatproof cup and aerate the heavy cream using a whisk or fork.
  2. Discard the hot water from the cup and add the brown sugar, followed by the hot coffee. Stir to dissolve the sugar.
  3. Pour in the Irish Whiskey and stir to combine.
  4. Gently pour the aerated heavy cream over the back of a spoon to create a layer on top of the cocktail.
  5. Optionally, garnish with nutmeg, chocolate shavings, or coffee beans.
