Ingredients

  • 2 oz Cynar
  • 1/2 oz chocolate syrup
  • 1 large egg
  • A few dashes of Fee Brothers whiskey barrel-aged bitters
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan over medium-low heat, stir together sugar and water until the sugar is fully dissolved.
  2. Remove from heat and add cocoa powder, stirring until fully dissolved. Let the mixture cool and then refrigerate until ready to use.
  3. In a shaker, crack a large egg and add the chocolate syrup and Cynar.
  4. Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 10 seconds.
  5. Double strain the mixture into a chilled coupe glass and top with a few dashes of bitters.
  6. Serve and enjoy!
