A sophisticated Scotch cocktail with blended malt whisky, toasted coconut syrup, fresh lemon juice, curaçao, and a hint of absinthe, creating a luxurious and rich drinking experience.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 oz. blended malt whisky (Monkey Shoulder recommended)
- 1 1/2 oz. toasted coconut syrup
- 1 oz. fresh lemon juice
- 1/4 oz. curaçao (Pierre Ferrand recommended)
- 1 fresh egg white (pasteurized if you like)
- 2 dashes absinthe
- 1 tsp. peated single malt Scotch whisky (Lady Jane uses Laphroaig 10 year old), to rinse
Instructions
- In a shaker, pour blended malt whisky, toasted coconut syrup, fresh lemon juice, curaçao, egg white, and dashes of absinthe.
- Shake the mixture vigorously without ice until it becomes foamy.
- Add ice to the shaker, shake again to chill the cocktail.
- Rinse a chilled coupe glass with peated single malt Scotch whisky, then discard the excess.
- Strain the cocktail into the prepared glass.
