Ingredients

  • 1.75 oz sweetened condensed milk
  • 1.50 oz evaporated milk
  • 0.75 oz cream of coconut
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • pinch of ground nutmeg
  • 2 oz white, añejo, or spiced Puerto Rican rum
  • 1 cinnamon stick for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, cream of coconut, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and ground nutmeg. Simmer, stirring constantly, then remove from heat and let cool.
  2. Add the rum to the cooled mixture and stir to combine.
  3. Transfer the Coquito to a sealable bottle and add a cinnamon stick. Seal and store in the refrigerator.
  4. To serve, pour Coquito over ice in a rocks glass.
  5. Garnish each glass with 2 cinnamon sticks.
