Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons fresh squeezed orange juice
- 1-2 tablespoons cranberry simple syrup (adjust to taste)
- Champagne or prosecco, chilled
- Orange slice and a couple cranberries for garnish
- For Cranberry Simple Syrup:
- 1 1/4 cups fresh or frozen cranberries
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup water
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine cranberries, sugar, and water. Bring to a simmer.
- Reduce the heat and let the cranberries steep for about 10 minutes.
- Pour the mixture through a strainer, discarding the cranberries.
- Chill the cranberry simple syrup in the fridge until cold. It can be made in advance.
- Add 3 tablespoons of orange juice to the bottom of a champagne flute.
- Pour 1-2 tablespoons of cranberry simple syrup into the flute, depending on desired sweetness.
- Top the flute off with champagne or prosecco.
- Garnish with an orange slice and a couple of cranberries.
