Ingredients

  • 4 oz Maker's Mark Bourbon
  • 1 oz Granulated Sugar
  • Juice of 3 Lemons
  • Juice of 3 Oranges
  • 4 oz Tea
  • 1 oz Champagne
  • Fresh Nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Peel the oranges and lemons, and keep the peels.
  2. Juice the oranges and lemons.
  3. Combine the sugar and citrus peels in a punch bowl, then muddle together until the sugar starts to clump.
  4. Let the mixture sit for about 2 hours for added complexity, if desired.
  5. Brew the tea for 30 minutes, remove loose tea or tea bags, and allow it to cool.
  6. Add the juice of the peeled fruit, tea, and bourbon to the punch bowl, then stir.
  7. Just before serving, top the mixture with champagne and stir gently.
  8. Finish by topping the cocktail with freshly grated nutmeg, and serve.
