Ingredients
- 1/4 cup frozen blueberries
- 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
- 1 tbsp water
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 3 fresh sage leaves
- 2 1/2 oz gin (optional)
- 2 oz Prosecco (optional)
Instructions
- In a medium pot over medium-high heat, combine frozen blueberries, lemon juice, water, and sugar. Stir until the sugar is dissolved and the mixture simmers.
- Muddle the berries well and add the sage. Simmer for 1-2 minutes.
- Remove from the stove and let it sit for several hours or overnight to allow the sage to infuse.
- Strain the blueberry mixture, pressing down hard on the berries to release their colorful juice.
- Place the blueberry sage syrup in a glass container with a spigot.
- Add gin and Prosecco and garnish with sage leaves and lemon slices.
