Ingredients

  • 5 dried apricots, coarsely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 oz Grand Marnier or Cointreau liqueur
  • Juice of 1 large orange
  • 1 oz heavy whipping cream
  • 1 1/2 oz coconut milk
  • 1 1/2 oz white rum
  • 1/2 oz golden rum
  • 1 dash Angostura bitters (optional)
  • Orange ring garnish

Instructions

  1. In a small pot over low heat, simmer the chopped apricots, brown sugar, 1 oz of Grand Marnier, and 5 tbsp of orange juice until thick and syrupy, stirring frequently for about 8-10 minutes.
  2. Strain the syrup mixture, pressing with the back of a spoon to release all the liquid.
  3. In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine the syrup solution with whipping cream, coconut milk, rums, remaining 1/2 oz of Grand Marnier, and 3 oz of fresh-squeezed orange juice. Add a dash of bitters.
  4. Vigorously shake and strain into a martini glass.
  5. Garnish with an orange ring and serve. Enjoy!
