Ingredients

  • 1/8 cup fresh or frozen blackberries
  • 1/16 cup maple syrup
  • 1/32 cup vodka
  • 1/2 cup champagne

  1. In a small saucepan, bring blackberries, maple syrup, and vodka to a boil, gently mashing the berries as they cook until they break down (about 5 minutes).
  2. Add lavender flowers (removed from stem if fresh) and boil for 1 minute. Remove from heat.
  3. Optionally, if time permits, allow the mixture to steep for at least 1 hour and up to 2 days in the fridge.
  4. To serve, pour 1 tablespoon of the blackberry sauce into a champagne flute, add a stem of fresh lavender, and top with chilled champagne.
