Blackberry Bliss Cocktail

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 oz apple brandy (or whiskey, bourbon, or cognac)
- 1/2 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1/2 oz freshly squeezed orange juice
- 1 oz blackberry shrub
- Crushed ice
- Fresh mint for garnish
Instructions
- Place the blackberries in a nonmetal bowl or pitcher; add the apple cider vinegar, sugar, and salt. Stir well, cover, and refrigerate for 1 to 2 days.
- Transfer the berry mixture into a nonreactive saucepan and simmer for about 10 minutes. Strain the mixture into a fine-mesh sieve over a heatproof container, pressing the blackberries to extract all liquid. Discard the solids.
- Store the shrub, covered and refrigerated, for up to 6 weeks. Makes about 1 quart of concentrate.
- In a cocktail shaker, combine the brandy, lemon juice, orange juice, and blackberry shrub with ice. Shake well until cold and combined.
- Strain the mixture over cocktail glasses filled with crushed ice.
- Garnish with fresh mint.
