Ingredients
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup half-and-half cream
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 ripe banana
- 1 tablespoon light rum
- 1 teaspoon creme de cacao
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Whipped cream and cocoa powder, optional for garnish
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine the milk, half-and-half, egg yolk, and sugar. Cook over medium-low heat until thick enough to coat the back of a spoon.
- Blend the ripe banana in a food processor until smooth.
- Pour the milk mixture into a pitcher, add the banana puree, rum, creme de cacao, vanilla, and remaining milk and cream. Stir well.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 3 hours before serving.
