Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups Whole milk
  • 2 oz Semi-sweet chocolate (60% cocoa solids) (or 0.5 oz milk chocolate + 1.5 oz dark chocolate (with 70% cocoa solids))
  • 1/4 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons Baileys Irish cream
  • 1/4 cup Heavy cream
  • 2 teaspoons Baileys Irish cream
  • 1/4 teaspoon Chocolate flakes

Instructions

  1. Pour the milk into a pan and heat over medium heat.
  2. Add the chocolate and stir until melted and the milk is steaming but not boiling.
  3. Stir in the vanilla extract and Baileys Irish cream.
  4. Optional: Use a milk frother or immersion blender to blend until frothy.
  5. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream and 2 teaspoons of Baileys Irish cream until soft peaks form.
  6. Pour the hot chocolate into a mug and top with the Baileys whipped cream and chocolate flakes.
