Autumn Spice Bourbon Sangria
A delightful and warming sangria blend of red wine, apple cider, bourbon, spices, and apples, perfect for the autumn season.
Ingredients
- 5 oz full-bodied red wine, such as Cabernet Sauvignon
- 1/2 cup apple cider
- 2 oz bourbon
- 1 tbsp sugar (optional)
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon extract
- 3 cinnamon sticks
- 5 cloves
- 3 star anise
- 2 oz sliced apple
- Ice
Instructions
- In a large container with a lid, combine the red wine, apple cider, bourbon, sugar, cinnamon extract, cinnamon sticks, cloves, star anise, and sliced apples.
- Stir well to dissolve the sugar.
- Cover the container and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably 24 to 48 hours for optimal flavor infusion.
- When serving, fill a wine goblet with ice and pour the sangria over the ice.
